VW Bus for Sale, 1966 VW Bus Double-Door
ARCHIVES / SOLDYear of construction 1966. Volkswagen Bus for sale in Washington. One interesting bus was found in a pile of the Craigslist ads and has to find a new owner soon, hopefully will belong by a good hand. As shown here is a Double-Door model, we thought it was a double-door panel van but the doors has windows. As what we can see from the photos, a lot of works needed to be worthy, it has damage in front and has a lot of rust and dent as a major issue as well as interior works needed.
The good thing is a drivable bus was offered under reasonable price, it looks has potential so we write here. Converted into camper look perfect.

Owner says
Bus has double doors, new brake system, good tires and engine. Rust: bottom of doors, sills and a small hole in the drivers side floor. Damage: hit in front and a previous owner attempted to pull it out; right front door dented; right kingpin needs replacing; pops out of 2nd gear on deceleration. Note: I've driven this bus as my work truck for 16yrs and the steering and trans issues haven't gotten worse and were easy drive arounds. Engine: solid 1640cc twin port with solix carbs, K&N filters, electronic ignition, twin exhaust and Mobil 1 from day one. Transaxil: reduction boxes rebuilt with new gears, bearings and seals, and Redline synthetic lube. SCAT reverse lockout shifter with all new bushings.
