VW Bus for Sale, 1979 Westfalia T2 Camper Van
Price: ARCHIVESYear of construction 1979. Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Van for Sale in Courtenay, British Columbia. A pop-top camper based on a late bay window well known as the T2 bus made by German builder Westfalia on late of the 70s, the appearance looks well in photos and no words about mechanical issues. Forty-four years still looks promising, runs and drives well reportedly, and seems well maintained too. Unfortunately, the engine bay photos unprovide in its Ad, but an automatic transmission was revealed, so we guess it remains its 2000cc original engine.
The camper was offered by the current owner on craigslist about twelve days ago and is still online today when we posted it here. If you're interested, come closer inspection is a must to appreciate.

“Frida” 1979 westy camper van for sale. Pop top bunk, front seat hammock. Could sleep 5. Automatic, odometer reads about 50,000kms. I’m not sure it it’s turned over New muffler, new battery, new refurbished starter. canvas and cushions are in good shape. Everything inside works. No stove. Cooler, no fridge. The lock on the sliding door is finicky. There is some rust in the wheel wells. I believe that it was “bondo’d “ before I bought it and now the rust is coming through. I purchased it from a guy in Cowichan Valley that “refurbishes” VW vans. I dont know much about previous owners history.
I love this van! You make friends everywhere you go. So many people stop to talk to you when your travelling. I did lots of local trips up island , Sunshine Coast and I even made it over the Coquihalla (slowly)! Unfortunately, we’ve outgrown it and would like to move up to something bigger (boring!!!)
