1967 VW Dormobile Camper For Sale

VW Bus for Sale, 1967 VW Dormobile Camper Conversion

Price: ARCHIVES

Year of construction 1967. Volkswagen Dormobile Camper for sale in San Francisco, California. Not the original VW Dormobile camper is a conversion example based on the original Westfalia SO42 bus that was done in the 70s, and only on the top side has been converted into Dormobile top pop, and the interior remains its Westfalia trim.

The current owner decided to offer on thesamba, for $69,000 or trade to other VWs. The Dormobile looks well-present in photos, has been cared for of it, and has maintained its authenticity. The engine looks dry and clean on the bay without any words about mechanical issues. Overall is still in good condition for its age. If you're interested, a closer inspection is a must.

Detail by Owner
I'm parting with my 1967 Dormobile, just acquired a few months ago with dreams of family camping adventures. However, fate had other plans as I stumbled upon an early Bay Westy that suits my needs better. Although unexpected, I'm reluctantly selling this gem. Originally hailing from Northern California, this beauty has been lovingly cared for by two seasoned Samba members over the past decade, preserving its cherished patina.

This original Westfalia SO42 bus underwent a Dormobile conversion in the 1970s, retaining its classic Velvet Green base color complemented by deluxe trim and added safari windows. Powered by a robust 1835cc engine, it runs flawlessly and offers a smooth ride. While the exterior boasts charming patina, the interior remains in good condition with signs of use. The Dormobile top is fully functional and in excellent shape.

Rest assured, this bus is structurally sound with minimal rust, as most repairs have already been tackled. Included is a rear rack (currently detached) and front driver's kick panel (awaiting reattachment, as seen in pictures). With a clean California title and current registration in my name, I'm happy to address any inquiries about this unique vehicle.

Given the rarity of split Dormobiles on the market, pricing is challenging, but I've done my best to establish a fair value. Located in San Francisco, I'm open to assisting with shipping. Additionally, I may consider an early Beetle or another non-camper bus as a partial trade, provided it's of equal value. No trade-ups, please.
