The focus was to maintain originality, so parts such as the turn signals located on the B column and the fuel tap that activates the tank reserve were imported, as this model does not have a fuel gauge.
The wiring harness is completely new. The original headlight was restored and the rear lights and break light were reinstalled as they were when it left the factory. All other electrical systems were disassembled and overhauled to factory specifications.
The mechanics were also 100% redone and revised. The original 1200cc engine has been completely rebuilt, and runs like new. The body was completely dismantled and recovered before being painted in the original color, "Azul Pastel", which makes a beautiful contrast with the gray and white of the seats. Looking at this car you can easily imagine it being picked up from the VW dealership by its first, satisfied owner.
