VW Bus for Sale, 1970 VW Westfalia Original Low Miles
Price: $32,000Year of construction 1970. Volkswagen T2A Westfalia for Sale in Meridian, Idaho. Found this beautiful classic Westfalia camper finished in red with white top pop and beige on the inside, that was listed on Craigslist about 26 days ago and is still available when we posted it here. Described has been repainted and rebuilt engine in mid of the 80s and totally has been driven about 117000 miles. Over half a century the camper is still in great shape for its age, it could be a nice example of the Westy camper being offered on the market today.

1970 VW Westfalia
I purchased my Westy in April of 1999 after a good year or more of searching all over the Western states. I stumbled upon my bus by finding it listed in the classified section of the San Francisco Chronicle. I made a call, flew down to Danville California and knew the second I saw this bus that it was what I had been searching for. This is a 2 family owned bus, my Westy was purchased new in Berkley California by a single man with no kids and spent the first half of it’s life there. Around 1995 he passed away and left it to his niece who was married and also had no kids. They lived in Danville CA and kept it for about 4 years and since they rarely drove it they decided to list it for sale. I’ve enjoyed this bus for so many years and it’s very hard to let it go but my family is grown for the most part and I want it to go to another family that will love it the way I always have.
Some info about the bus:
117k original miles (I purchased at just under 90k)
Original engine was rebuilt once in the mid 80’s at around 80k miles
Exterior was repainted once also in the mid 80’s, paint looks great and if you didn’t know it you’d think it was original
Original upper canvas on pop-up in great shape, all screens/zippers work perfectly
Original upper canvas cot and front childs cot had never been used until I purchased it
Bus is original, vinyl in great shape, woodwork in great shape, windows/screens in great shape
Front seats were re-done this last summer (passenger seat was great, drivers seat needed help so I had both redone)
Front window rubber/seals re-done, door seals re-done
Pop-up top in great shape
Have original keys, original tool box, VIN tag, lots of original documentation and items that came with it
Original Parcel Trays in perfect condition, factory side step
Newer highly rated VW bus tires, probably have 2k miles on them
Includes fantastic condition VW westfalia drive-away side tent
Maintained religiously by specialty VW shop since I’ve owned it (1999), all service records provided
This bus drives so smooth, never any issues, newer clutch, everything in mechanical tip-top shape
No rust!
Westfalia’s like this are rare, I know what I have, I know you will love it.
