VW Bus for Sale, 1970 VW Type 2 Bus Original Savannah Beige For Sale
Price: ARCHIVESYear of construction 1970. Volkswagen Type 2 for sale in Tumwater, Washington. Found this one example that was listed on Craigslist about a month ago and is still online when we write here, the appearance looks well in the photos. More than 50 years of age all still in good shape.
This 1970 Transporter with a walk-through floor plan appears to have been renovated and updated with an interior finished in brown and white, without a middle seat, leaving only a rear bench that can be converted into a bed. Everything appears to be well maintained, and the bus has undergone a lot of restoration including the engine. Unfortunately, we didn't come to see the actual condition, if you're interested, come for a close inspection to avoid anything untoward in the future.

1970 Volkswagen VW Type 2 Bus
Low milage original savannah beige paint, rust free bus, on its third owner with only 64,500 miles. The story of the bus is that a couple won it from VW Avalon Auto Sales and were the original owners (still has original license plate frames). They took the bus to Kamper Konversions in Issaquah for the camper conversion to the interior which includes a comfortable fold out bed. Trips to Alaska and Disneyland were made early in its life. They owned the bus until 1999 when it was sold to the second owner at around 49,000 miles. The second owner used it for camping and cycling in the Puget Sound area for the next 10,000 miles and twenty-two years. We purchased the bus in 2021 and did some updating/restoration work including engine, mechanicals, interior, seals, etc. This is a drive anywhere bus to camp or show. It won third place at the this year's 40th annual Northwest Vintage Volkswagen show.
